OPERATIONS MANAGER – FOOD RETAIL/BAKERY

BASED IN OMAN
Food People are working exclusively with a leading food and beverage manufacturer to find an Operations Manager. You will have responsibility for running the business across their outlets in Oman. The role focuses around execution and implementation of the operations strategy within the organisation, in order to increase revenue and deliver a consistent superior customer experience whilst maximising employee performance/capabilities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete accountability of the business including but not limited to operations, P&L management, marketing and training
- Develop and implement the Company’s short and long-term strategy and also interact extensively with Department Heads to provide leadership and direction for all business activities
- Monitor the implementation of approved strategies to drive the performance of the company
- Formulate and implement operations policies & procedures and quality systems
- Coordinate the brands’ activities to obtain optimum efficiency of operations with minimum costs in order to maximise profits and ensure high quality standards for sales, rotation and loss
- Identify opportunities in the market for brand promotions and growth in the number of stores across the region along with liaising with concept fit-out and development companies in assisting with the opening of new sites
- Recommend and lead specific brand trainings as well as inspect brand operations to ensure they are in line with brand standards
- Analyse prices, competition and market segment at which the store openings are aimed at to ensure maximum profitability
- Ensure the standards of operational health and safety are in line with government regulation
- Assist in recruiting, training, motivating and evaluating the team to ensure that the brand has the necessary skill base and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximise their potential and contribution to the company.
KEY INGREDIENTS
- Must have had overall responsibility of a multi outlet food retail operations, including but not limited to, functional responsibility of operations, P&L, marketing and training
- An understanding of bakery business is a must
- Experience in Oman is essential for this role
- Knowledge and experience in marketing techniques and implementing promotions/offers to increase footfall would be a strong advantage.
