أخصائي تكنولوجيا المعلومات – Office IT Specialist
This role has the overall responsibility for the office IT infrastructure, office applications, Office IT hardware, and the service provided to our colleagues.
In addition, the role holder will work with, and manage the service provided by our outsourced IT provider.
This is a real opportunity to put your own stamp on the internal IT services and drive an amazing experience for our colleagues.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Ensures applications are available for our users
- Provides first line troubleshooting across the suite of applications and hardware
- Facilitates resolutions with the outsource provider
- Collects usage data and makes recommendations for future applications
- Supports all internal teams and vendors to get the most out of the office solutions
Key performance indicators:
- Issue resolution
- Ticket management
- Problem management
- Vendor management
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Direct experience of supporting and running office IT for a company with outsourced providers. (telecoms company experience a bonus)
- Expert in:
-MS applications
-Digital collaboration platforms
-IP telephony including video conferencing
-Email systems
-Workforce Management
-Cloud applications
-Active Directory
-Networking/Routing
-Help desk operation and set-up
- Direct experience of providing user care
- Strong vendor management, being commercially aware of decisions and solutions impacting contracts
- International experience of integrating applications on a group level, and working with remote teams of experts.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- University Degree.
- Microsoft application certificates
- Certified office networking/complex IP routing training and certifications
- Hardware repair and diagnostics training
- IP telephony and video conferencing certification
- Cloud for office applications

The overall purpose is to implement the company’s segment marketing strategy – but specifically to:
•Champion customer centricity within the organisation
•Develop segmented propositions including a business case
•Go-To-Market approaches
•New product development & New business development
•Monitor systems to ensure effectiveness
•Grow market share (acquisition), Net Promoter Scores, brand consideration and commercial KPI’s (mainly revenue & penetration) for all defined segments.
•Deliver segment P&L targets for mobile services, inclusive of fixed.

Segments marketing strategy and plan:
- Understand the market, competitors and segment opportunities
- Identify customer and commercial opportunities through rich insights
- Define simple and differentiating segment branded claims and propose activities, propositions and customer experience developments to substantiate these
- Deliver and execute the Segment Marketing plan/roadmap
- Drive segment distribution and customer/channel investment initiatives
- Drive pricing strategies (with products) and initiatives using insight to differentiate and behavioural economics to create value
- Lead excellence in go to market execution of new propositions
- Work with CVM to deliver segments of one initiatives
- Engage with Group and other Vodafone markets to identify potential new differentiated propositions for development
Deliver and improve segment performance/P&L:
- Track and regularly report on segment performance, proposing improvement initiatives
- Improve sales and operational execution
- Improve customer experience
Lead cross-functional segment teams:
- Lead teams from all functions to deliver segment plans and improvement initiatives
Key performance indicators:
- Quality of idea output – delivery of differentiated and innovative thinking.
- Ability to break out of traditional telco thinking
- Segment P&L, including customers, revenue, contribution margin, NPS and brand consideration and any critical segment development KPIs
- Quarterly revenue market share
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Differentiation & Trend Orientated: Always hungry to bring new services to market – in order to open up new revenue streams and build brand affinity
- Segment Marketing: Proven ability to define segment opportunities and to create propositions and GTM strategies to exploit them
- Commercial Acumen: Commercial mindset with experience in commercial roles handling segment P&Ls, including responsibility for pricing, communication and customer/channel investment decisions
- Insights, Proposition Development, Customer Experience: Ability to make critical decisions on key insights, developing branded claims and to prioritise and deliver propositions and customer experience roadmaps – Customer champion
- Commercial experience: Experience operating in marketing function, preferably with additional experience in an operational (sales or customer operations) function.
- Leadership: Strong personal impact. Ability to communicate complex subjects in a simple way.
- Display digital-first thinking: Well versed in key international trends and thinking. Good understanding of digital media/CVM and performance marketing
- International experience across different cultures, ideally experience of having lived and worked in Oman (or in the Gulf) and/or understanding of the Arab culture.
- Overall minimum of 4-5 years relevant experience.
