Operational Planning-Refinery
Main tasks and responsibilities
Responsible for gathering and analyses data and information required for operation planning
Prepares plans and schedules and follow up operational variables
Updates the operational planning schedule based on inputs received from project and operations team
Identify, verify review and follow up critical path and interfaces between design/ engineering/ procurement / execution and operations
Monitor progress periodically and compares it with the baseline operational refinery planning
Coordinate and organize planning activities with the different refinery teams
Selects the most appropriate techniques and logical sequence of activities to complete project scope
Develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and integrate it in the project Schedule as a means to assess progress and accurately forecast time, resources and cash flow of the project
Prepare monthly and weekly progress reports, charts, histograms and S-curves on all activities and processes
Sets up alerts for all important contractual and milestone dates on the schedule and highlight it to the Management.
Analyse the root cause(s) of delay and identify any threat to the operational planning and milestones.
Prepares the monthly Labour histograms and workload
Attend project and operational progress meeting and highlight items related to planning and scheduling
Follow up the contractor or 3’rd party proposals operational work / project schedule and histogram schedule and identify any unrealistic sequence / execution period or inadequate manning level
Background and experience:-
+7 years of total experience within the Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical industry, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
Primavera / Maximo / MS Project
Computer knowledge in MS Office applications like MS Word, MS excel etc.
Extensive experience in operational planning reporting, planning, scheduling of downstream.
Experience of benchmarking studies, Solomon, RAM, RCM etc
Experience in Asset Master data governance
Expertise for budgeting and cost control.
Familiar with techniques for ensuring data integrity with various integration of information/ reports
