Public Relations /HR Assistant
Responsibilities
Proactively support the delivery of HR Processes within the business unit in the areas of performance management, people development, recruitment and Employee relations
Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations
Assist in recruitment, interviews and selection of applicants
Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives
Investigate and report on industrial accidents for insurance carriers
Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations and negotiate bargaining agreements and help interpret labor contracts
Collect and provide periodical updates from the government authorities on all Labour and immigration rules to keep the HR department abreast of the changes in the rules and procedures
Renew, update and maintain all employees and their dependents visas, labour cards, and labour contracts in a timely manner to ensure that company’s records are up-to-date in the labour and Immigration Departments and obtain visas for staff members for their business travel
Deal with general enquires regarding Government relation functions promptly and efficiently to enhance the level of department service while providing service, support and assistance to new and existing employees on their requirements such are driving license, liquor license, car registrations, accommodation and legal requirements to ensure that PR services are provided as required
Renew, update and maintain the trade licenses and other government certificates of all company’s legal entities to ensure that the documents are up-to-date
Renew and maintain all company’s leases before expiry, which includes offices, company apartments /accommodation facilities
Assist departments in resolving any issues related to company vehicle registration and renewals
Arrange processing attestation of employee qualifications as required
Accurate preparation of documents according to the requirement of the legal authorities
Maintain confidentiality and security of company and employee documents at all times
Skills / Qualifications
Graduate preferred for the role
3-4 years of progressive working knowledge and experience in managing HR & Government relation functions in Oman
Work experience dealing with ministry on various employee and licensing issues
Computer proficiency and previous experience on HRIS /related system
Experience working on govrenment portals in Oman
Driving license valid for the country and willingness to use own car for fulfilling job responsibilities
Advanced communication skills in English & Arabic
This is an Omani national position
