HH Sayyid Fahd Honours Organizers of ROHM’s 10th Anniversary

Muscat, 20 Jan (ONA)—HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM), honoured the organizers of the 10th anniversary of the ROHM. The event runs till 22 January.

Those honoured included Maestro Zeffirelli, Cecilia Gasdia, Superintendent and Artistic Director of the Arena di Verona Foundation, and Maestro Jan Latham-Koenig, director of the musical show, which is the work of the late Zeffirelli (1923-2019).

HH Sayyid Fahd presented the guests with gifts after the success of Rigoletto’s glittering finale, which was an unforgettable treat for the audience that thronged ROHM theatre this evening.

Franco Zeffirelli took the credit for producing Puccini’s final opera Turandot, which was ROHM’s premiere at its opening way back in 2011 under the auspices of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

The maestro won the greatest Royal order due to his global prestige in the field of musical arts and in recognition for his prominent participation in the official opening of the opera house.
