Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has said there are chances of rains of varying intensity, including thunderstorms ranging from 10 to 40 millimeters in the coming hours till Sunday morning.
It may lead to floods from wadi waters in parts of the governorates of Muscat, South Al Batinah, South Al Sharqiyah, North Sharqiyah, and Al Dakhiliyah.
Forecasts indicate chances of sporadic rain, ranging from 5 to 15 mm, in parts of the governorates of North Al Batinah, Musandam, Al Wusta, and Dhofar.
The Civil Aviation Authority calls on everyone to take precautions during rain, not to cross valleys, avoid low places, and go to the sea during the warning period.

“A drop in minimum temperatures is expected on Saturday and Sunday due to the northwest winds in the Sultanate of Oman. The minimum temperatures on mountains tops are likely to drop to below five degrees Celsius with chances of frost formation in the evening/dawn on Saturday and Sunday,” the Meteorology office said.
