ITHCA Group announce SCALE Award for emerging technology startups in partnership with the Rising Omani Startups Program, CBO and a number of companies in
relevant sectors
In partnership between the Rising Omani Startups Program, the Central Bank of Oman (CBO), and several companies in relevant sectors, ITHCA Group announced the Scale Award for Emerging Technology Startups. This initiative is set to debut at the 33rd edition of COMEX 2024, taking place from May 27 to May 30 at the Oman Exhibition and Convention Center.
This partnership between the various companies participating in the award is designed to add real value, foster diverse ideas, and support the growth of startup companies. Connecting them with relevant companies can help them overcome challenges and stay competitive in the market.
The Scale Award is designed to foster innovation and promote investment opportunities for startups both locally and internationally, with more than 100 startups expected to showcase their solutions. This year’s the Award focuses on addressing the pressing challenges identified across various sectors including banking, manufacturing, Electricity, tourism, oil and gas, communications, information technology, logistics, and others.

Competing startups will have the opportunity to present their technology solutions to a panel of industry experts. Winners will be recognized and get an opportunity chance to work closely with companies facing these challenges. ITHCA Group will facilitate these partnerships, ensuring the transformation of innovative ideas into practical solutions.
His Excellency Tahir Salim Abdullah Al Amri, Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman, expressed enthusiasm about the new initiative, stating, “We are excited to collaborate with ITHCA Group and the Rising Omani Startups Program on this innovative challenge. We believe that it will have a significant positive impact on the banking sector by introducing fresh, tech-driven solutions to our financial challenges.”
Her Excellency Engineer Halima bint Rashid Al-Zaria, CEO of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, added that the Rising Omani Startups Program aims to stimulate the ecosystem of startups based on advanced technology and innovation in the Sultanate of Oman by empowering innovators, supporting the launch of startups companies, and connecting them with business, investment, and funding opportunities to enable their expansion in local and global markets. Through the COMEX 2024 exhibition, the Rising Omani Startups Program will launch the “Startup Grants” initiative, which targets startups based on innovation and technology in the early stages of developing their products and services and facilitates their entry into the markets. This is one of the Ministry of Economy’s initiatives to support the Rising Omani Sstartups Program.
