International Council for Arbitration is a worldwide organization devoted to promoting the use and improving the processes of arbitration, conciliation and other forms of resolving international commercial disputes. Its activities include convening international arbitration congresses and conferences, sponsoring authoritative dispute resolution publications, and promoting the harmonization of arbitration and conciliation rules, laws, procedures and standards.
The primary tasks of the Foundation are to:
provide legal support to the Arbitrators
undertake fundraising on behalf of the Council

يُعتبر المجلس الدولى للتحكيم منظمة عالمية تكرس نفسها لتعزيز استخدام وتحسين إجراءات التحكيم والمصالحة والأنماط الأخرى من تسوية النزاعات الدولية التجارية. ويدخل في طيات ذلك، عقد مجالس ومؤتمرات تحكيم دولية بالإضافة إلى رعاية منشورات موثوقة لتسوية النزاعات، ومن ناحية أخرى، تعزيز التنسيق بين قواعد وقوانين وإجراءات ومعايير التحكيم والمصالحة. و أُولى مهام المؤسسة هي ما يلي:

وعبر مقراته المنتشرة، حظى المجلس بتاريخ طويل وخبرة واسعة في مجال تسوية النزاعات، كما تمكن من تقديم يد العون لأفراد ومنظمات رغبت في تسوية خلافاتها بعيداً عن المحكمة.
