The ITBiz and the Rest Commemorated Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday
The ITBiz student-officers had organized a two-day event entitled "Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday Commemoration" last 19-20 February 2012 in the IT Building and ELC Hall. The event had emphasized the kind of life lived by Prophet Mohammed to be modeled at all times.
Religious-related activities highlighted the event such as
- Distribution of pamphlets, fliers, religious books, brochures, Holy Quran. The student-officers through their own humble way had strongly recommended these powerful readings among visitors and bystanders.
- Video show related to Islamic Religion. A video show had captured the attention of visitors and bystanders to reflect on the teachings of Islam.
- e-Quiz related to Islamic Religion. Majed Al-Balushi, IS higher diploma student, had developed a database-driven eQuiz to test the knowledge of participants regarding the Islamic religion.
- Donation-giving. Sharing and generosity had characterized the event when visitors and bystanders voluntarily donated some amount. These proceeds shall be remitted to a registered charity organization called " Dar Al Atta’a".
- Awarding of Winners. Many got perfect answers of the e-Quiz which signified the plausible knowledge of the people regarding the teachings of Islam. To break the ties, a raffle draw was conducted favoring the first, second and third prize awardees as enlisted below:
o First Prize - Sultan Al-Kindi
o Second Prize - Samiya Al-Naabi
o Third Prize -Essa Al-Jabri
Dr. Fatma Al-Abri, the HoS of Multimedia, had awarded the certifies of recognition to the above-mentioned awardees.
