Muscat: Represented by the State Audit Institution (SAI), the Sultanate on Tuesday participated in the 18th meeting of heads of GCC audit and accountancy units (diwans), held via videoconferencing.
The Omani delegation was led by Shaikh Nassir Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the SAI.
The meeting discussed the agenda of the 22nd meeting of GCC audit and financial diwan procurators due to be held in December 2021.
The meeting also studied the 2021-2022 training plan and associated recommendations. It took relevant decisions aimed to upgrade the capacities of audit diwans’ personnel.
The conferees also exchanged views about the general Joint Audit Guide and the timeframe set for the revision of similar guides issued earlier. —ONA
