JOIN HANDS TO BRING LIFE BACK TO NORMAL

MUSCAT: In continuation of His Majesty the Sultan’s attention to the nation and citizens and his Royal keenness to protect the safety of citizens and residents and, in constant follow-up of the impacts of the adverse climatic conditions (Shaheen) on parts of Oman, the Council of Ministers on Tuesday held a session during which it reviewed the efforts exerted by all departments and sectors to restore normalcy to the affected areas.

The Council of Ministers expresses heartfelt condolences and deep sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives and those who went missing during the climatic conditions, wishing that the departed would have the Almighty’s greatest mercy.

The Council of Ministers also expressed thanks and appreciation for all efforts made to diminish the damages and impacts incurred to citizens and their properties.

This humanitarian contribution, the Council said, had a positive effect in tempering the condition, thanks to the efforts of the National Committee for Emergency Management, the state’s military, security and civil sectors and the private sector, in addition to the National Committee for Civil Defence, the Civil Aviation Authority and media organisations.

In implementation of the Royal directives to form a committee to assess the impacts of the climatic conditions, the Council of Ministers listened to a preliminary assessment report about the case and the steps that the committee intends to undertake as instructed.

The Council of Ministers prays to the Almighty Allah to protect citizens and residents against all harm.

The cabinet urges all parties to cooperate to bring back life to normal as soon as possible in the cyclone stricken areas. May the Almighty Allah protect Oman and its people. — ONA
