HM gets condolences on Shaheen victims

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received cables of condolences from a number of leaders, crown princes and senior officials of the brotherly and friendly countries on victims of the tropical cyclone Shaheen.

In their cables, they expressed their heartfelt sympathies to His Majesty and the Omani people.

They prayed to the Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in peace in paradise, grant their families fortitude to bear the loss and protect the Sultanate and its people against all harm.

They stressed their solidarity with the Sultanate while it addresses impacts of the climatic condition.

His Majesty received cables from King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, President Dr Bashar al Assad of Syria, King Felipe VI of Spain, King Philippe of Belgium, Prince Mohammed bin Salman al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Shaikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber al Sabah, Deputy Emir and Crown Prince of Kuwait, and Shaikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad al Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait.
