The job holder will be the primary representative of the Securities Services business in Oman. They will be required to oversee the local business operations and ensure it is run in line with local regulations (as a CMA licensed activity) and meeting business revenue expectations. They will have responsibility for acquiring new clients and managing those relationships alongside the Client Executive, with an objective of increasing revenue. The successful candidate will understand all aspects of the business and be able to offer innovative solutions to enhance the customer’s experience and expand the commercial relationship. The job requires maintaining excellent relationships with senior decision making client counterparts.
Reports into: Managing Director, Head of Securities Services
Key Accountabilities:
- Job holder will be the primary representative of the Securities Services business in Oman, which is a licensed activity by the Oman Capital Markets Authority.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirments, maintaining close working reationships with the CMA and the local stock exchange.
- Proactively market FAB Securities Services to domestic Oman investors to secure new business.
- Work closely with the Head of Client Management to independently acquire new clients for the Securities Services business.
- Participate in the preparation of commercial proposals and presentation materials
- Support assigned clients due diligence visits, questionnaires, RFPs & RFIs and ensure delivery to the Service level agreements in place.
- Efficient management of the sales pipeline to ensure appropriate tracking of deals and oversee the successful conversion of pipeline deals
- Manage on-boarded client relationships with a focus on increasing the relationship revenue by gaining a deep understanding of their business and positioning new tailored solutions.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with client decision makers.
- Maintain a Strategic Account Plan for each client including a comprehensive calling program on relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee and direct the service provided by the Operations teams to ensure it consistently meets client expectation and act as first point of escalation for all client-related queries.
- Agree client Service Level Agreements and ensure that the Operations team have mechanisms to effectively report any non-adherence to the SLA.
- Understand the market practise and regulations relating to the regional and international markets and their impact on client business.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualification:
- Incumbent at this level is expected to have a Degree in a relevant discipline, qualification in Business Management;
Minimum Experience:
- Job holder must have a deep knowledge of the custody business and at least 5 years’ experience in securities services and / or banking industry.
- 3 years in a relationship, sales or client services role within a large multi-faceted organisation ideally within the financial services industry or market related;
- Mature interpersonal skills, and broad experience in managing senior client contacts in a commercial context
- Excellent team building, diplomacy, and influencing skills;
- The drive and tenacity to overcome obstacles and a track record of delivery and being able to increase revenue from new and existing relationships.
- Knowledge of Fund Administration services will be beneficial.
