NBO launches cyclone relief programme

Supporting the nation in the wake of Cyclone Shaheen, the National Bank of Oman (NBO) has implemented a wide-reaching relief program to allow affected account holders to defer loan payments for 3 months until 31 December 2021. It has also allocated an additional RO10 Million in interest-free loans. The bank will also be offering a hassle-free renovation loan for existing home loan customers of up to RO5,000.

As part of a nationwide call to action, NBO has also partnered with leading retailers to offer its customers a discount of up to 50 percent on essential household appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, and washing machines, to help replace items lost to water damage.

A core part of NBO’s culture is to lend support and make meaningful contributions to those who need it the most. The bank rallied up staff volunteers to help with clean-up efforts in their local community along with a donation drive, encouraging them to contribute too. As for impacted employees, the bank provided them with the support required.
