Muscat: A Royal Decree has been issued, approving the ratification by the Sultanate of Oman to the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006, the Oman News Agency reported.
The MLC, 2006 is a comprehensive international employment Convetion, adopted by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in February 2006. It contains seafarers’ rights to decent conditions of work while creating conditions of fair competition for shipowners.
