Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth has visited the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) on Sunday, October 31,2021.
“This visit comes as part of the interest of His Highness in the Documents and Archives sector,” NRAA said in a statement.
NRAA added that during the visit, His Highness learned about the nature of the work of the authority, its national contributions, and its role in collecting and preserving the historical memory of the nation in its various forms, according to the best international scientific methods and practices.
The Authority is keen to establish a record system based on scientific bases with view to contribute in organizing and preserving records. This system aims at developing the scientific research and encouraging the intellectual creativity.
