Muscat: HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs and Ben Wallace, State Secretary for Defence of the United Kingdom (UK) attended here on Thursday the practical demonstration for the concluding event of the joint Omani-British exercise “Khanjar Oman” or “Oman Dagger”.
The exercise was carried out by the Oman Royal Army (RAO), represented by the Oman Reconnaissance Battalion of the 11th Infantry Brigade, and units from the 4th Infantry Brigade of the British Army.
Sayyid Shihab and the British Guest were briefed on the exercise and its different stages.
Moreover, the exercise came within the framework of RAO’s training plans to sustain preparedness in all fields. –ONA
