Muscat: Three people have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), on charges of sorcery, fraud and money laundering.
“South Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested two expats of Asian nationality and a citizen on charges of sorcery, fraud and money laundering. They claimed an ability to provide spiritual treatment, targeting people with chronic and psychological diseases in exchange for large sums of money. Tools and papers used for this scam were seized,” ROP said in a statement.
