  1. Network and Security Engineer (Omani Nationals Only)

Responsibilities

  1. Implement data encryption software to maintain the integrity and security of the OLNG data network
  2. Implement the erection of firewalls to conceal confidential information as it is being transmitted and to keep out tainted digital transfers.
  3. Assist in development of project plans for information technology projects including information to enhance the quality of the IT network within OLNG and to augment its digital security.
  4. Execute new development projects and upgrade projects in line with international standards
  5. Participate in Planning of all IT projects to review the possible security hazards arising from them and to provide mitigation plans for the same.
  6. Support applications from contractors upon projects completions and Support staff in usage of the business applications.
  7. Analyze and solve problems in security and networking within the IT systems in the organization.
  8. Maintain operational contacts with application suppliers.
  9. Maintain status of support contracts; monitors performance/reliability and tuning; builds, installs, and tests public domain software; responsible for programming
  10. Oversee the work of contractors while ensuring clear allocation of responsibilities amongst contractors, monitoring achievement of expected results, and providing them the required support and guidance to perform their duties.
  11. Coach and develop the staff to ensure the minimum competency levels are met or exceeded by a yearly review of their training needs, on the job exposure, cross postings, preparation of a personal development plan and regular feedback sessions including mid-year and final year appraisal.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent
  2. At least 5 years’ experience in handling networking infrastructure and network security.
  3. Experience in dealing / coordinating with internal customers and vendors and suppliers.

  1. Drawing Office Supervisor (Omani Nationals Only)

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage, prioritize and delegate the Drawing Office workload subject to the on-going demands of the Company needs.
  2. Ensure internal and external design requirements are met and provided in an agreed and timely manner.
  3. Create and maintain a library of drawings that can be utilized for future business support.
  4. Develop and continue to develop projects drawings and specifications across existing and new assets.
  5. Liaise with the project engineers to ensure the most up to date drawings and technical specifications are available.
  6. Manage and co-ordinate the day to day project draughting and documentation requirements.
  7. Ensure all drawings are stored correctly.
  8. Manage the checking/approvals of all drawings issued by department
  9. Recognize and work to Company and/or Industry Standards
  10. Check for and identify interface issues in design and identify to Project Engineer
  11. Ensure all activities are carried out in line with Company QA & HSE Requirements and Procedures.
  12. Establish and maintain reporting to management, vendors and maintain the document tracking system in line with project timelines and deliverables.
  13. Measuring performance and auditing of document review processes during the various phases of projects and document lifecycles and controlling through effective implementation of corrective actions.
  14. Perform document quality check in accordance to OLNG engineering document control procedures.
  15. Review completeness of documentation and prepare document transmittals.
  16. Establish long-term improvement of documentation service provision, document control and ensure the accuracy and maintenance of the technical documentation through continuous auditing, reviews and improvements.
  17. Identify, implement and maintain knowledge on applicable standards, knowledge and specification for document control and Shell Design and Engineering Packages.
  18. Administer and prepare appropriate economic design packages according to company national and international standards along with complete material take-off lists.
  19. Review and approve the design work packages done by designers/Draughtsman.
  20. Access and review information and reports from Oracle document management system. Update new/modified information regarding system/equipment details as required.
  21. Coach, develop and train the subordinates by knowledge sharing and providing guidance on the work, ensuring minimum competency levels are met or exceeded by periodic individual performance reviews and developing, reviewing personal development plans.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry of which minimum 5 years as a designer, petrochemical experience is highly desirable.
  2. Minimum HND or equivalent qualification.
  3. Strong Knowledge of drawing office software and tools.
  4. Knowledge of reference procedures; knowledge of filing procedures; ability to deal with public and associates in a courteous manner; ability to follow oral and written procedures; computer knowledge & skills; knowledge of software computerized circulation system and tools, ability to assist public in using personal computers.
  5. Ability to deal with associates and the public in a courteous manner; ability to make decisions of other than a routine nature in order to meet controlling conditions; neat personal appearance;
  6. Flexible, positive and pro-active attitude, must be a good team player able to make a “hands on” contribution.

  1. Senior Internal Auditor (Omani Nationals Only)

Responsibilities:

  1. Execute risk based audits of various business units as per approved audit plan and as per the approved departmental procedures in order to provide reasonable assurance to the Board of Directors on the adequacy of the internal control framework being reviewed.
  2. Conduct opening meetings with Management for the allocated audit assignments in order to agree the scope, timeline, and audit process for own audit engagements.
  3. Conduct closing meetings with Management for the allocated audit assignments in order to highlight audit observations and obtain their agreement on the recommendation / action to be taken.
  4. Highlight and document the audit observations with evidences and obtain management agreement on the audit observations and the actions to be taken to address them.
  5. Conduct peer review of audit reports produced by other auditors in order to ensure that they are clear, achieve the audit objectives, are free from errors and omissions, and that the conclusions are based on valid observations.
  6. Conduct/supervise special assignments as directed by the Chief Internal Auditor, this includes fraud investigations, and other investigations.
  7. Provide consultancy and advisory with regards to the control framework to various company functions as requested by the Chief Internal Auditor.
  8. Provide cost effective recommendations to bridge identified control weaknesses.
  9. Follow-up on agreed action items as per allocated audits in order to ensure that all agreed action items are implemented as agreed.
  10. Participate and assist in the creation of long-term risk based Audit Plan including review of Departmental Risk Registers. This plan is later approved by the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors.
  11. Guide and coordinate with third party auditors in carrying-out their various assurance activities as directed by the Chief Internal Auditor.
  12. Assist the Chief Internal Auditor in various tasks such as budget maintenance, follow up of audit action items, coaching of new employees, etc. These tasks are carried out in rotation.
  13. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
  14. Reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  15. Utilize the training and learning opportunities provided by the organization to develop competencies in specialized areas and work towards self-development.
  16. Supervise, coach and develop the internal auditors to ensure the optimum competency levels are met by a yearly review of their training needs, on the job exposure, preparation of a personal development plan and regular feedback sessions including mid-year and final year appraisal, where appropriate.

Requirements

  1. Lead Instrument Engineer (Omani Nationals Only)

Responsibilities

  1. Implement the plan of action including preventive maintenance schedules and adoption of best practices from the industry for the Instrumentation systems in Qalhat LNG department to help achieve the goal zero incidents at the plant.
  2. Coordinate with the various engineering department to execute the appropriate maintenance techniques of preventive maintenance (PM for all instrumentation equipment in the Qalhat complex).
  3. Follow up on critical overdue in the preventive maintenance to minimize overdue occurrences, escalating instances of overdue and closing them immediately.
  4. Implement and drive the practice of Instrument Protection protocols by providing the concerned departments with standard procedures and work instructions.
  5. Carryout instrumentation and systems long terms review that is documented and updated in Asset Reference Plan (ARP).
  6. Conduct troubleshooting, through proper techniques of all instrumentation systems related process incidents to close them with minimal delay.
  7. Execute the implementation of all single discipline instrumentation systems changes in the Qalhat facility.
  8. Participate in planned shutdown jobs planning, resource planning, maintenance execution and quality assurance.
  9. Review and approve changes in instrumentation systems during project implementation.
  10. Carryout regular instrumentation spare parts reviews and follow up on action items that ensure availability of required spares to maintain complex instrumentation, and process control
  11. Drive the adherence to procedures, work instructions and responsibilities matrices within the specified quality assurance certification system and ensure compliance.
  12. Assist in the management of instrumentation systems skill pool (including the instrumentation systems personnel with maintenance section) through coaching and mentoring.
  13. Provide appropriate technical and specialist support to maintenance section.
  14. Manage all contracts between the instrumentation section with 3rd party vendors and contractors.
  15. Maintain awareness of developments within the industry in instrumentation, and process control fields and initiate changes that will improve the business.

  1. Principal Process Technologist (Omani Nationals Only)

Responsibilities

  1. Develops and manages the delivery of technical excellence Process Technology, and liaises with the area managers within maintenance and turnarounds to develop and strengthen assurance processes to ensure uninterrupted plant operation.
  2. Owns Process Technology as subject matter expert (SME) and acts as the definitive source of knowledge, technique, and expertise within his/her area to provide professional and technical insight for design, engineering and complex trouble-shooting activities.
  3. Develops and implements best practices related to Process Technology. Leads a work-group during complex investigations and provides novel and expert guidance in his/her area of capability to resolve technical challenges with maintenance and projects delivery.
  4. Responsible to take accountability for technical quality of all activities within Process Technology, and to develop and maintain assurance functions within procedures, organisational structure, other business units, staff and the corporate functions to ensure risk profile in relevant business scope is identified, monitored and controlled.
  5. Responsible for developing and maintaining discipline engineering assurance functions and providing in-depth specialist technical know-how to support other departments in production, maintenance, projects and technology to sustain continuous and uninterrupted plant operation, leading to achievement of overall corporate objectives.
  6. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including area maintenance managers, turnaround managers, project managers and senior management. The nature of the role involves actively leading and participating in multiple work-groups at one time and disseminating information across all levels of the organization.
  7. Responsible to foster technical innovation, acquisition of expertise and a continuous improvement culture by constantly seeking new technical developments and actively pursuing deployment opportunities through engaging with the leadership teams, in a manner that positively contributes to the core values and the policies of OLNG.
  8. Responsible to develop and maintain alignment within the organisation for delivery of business results in relevant discipline, and overall alignment with the corporate objectives.
  9. Responsible to develop and implement the long term strategic plan for the engineering discipline activities in the Asset Reference Plan, and ensure alignment with production, maintenance and projects for delivery.
  10. Supporting ENT in strategizing major engineering contracts from inception, contract strategy, contractor evaluation and selection. Responsible for ensuring delivery of major contracts and contractual compliance with regards to budgets, safety and quality and timelines.
  11. Responsible for HSSE and Regulatory Compliance within their relevant discipline to provide leadership support to achieve goal zero for the OLNG organisation.
  12. Actively support and provide technical know-how in technical studies and failure investigations, Process and Instrument diagram reviews, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments and HAZOP’s etc.
  13. Ensure technical integrity and process safety of process designs, satisfy the required technical standards and incorporate best practices from peers and technical advisors by reviewing and approving design work for minor and major plant changes/improvements within optimum cost
  14. Champion process technological expertise requested by internal and external stakeholders, ensure fulfilment of the specific needs of stakeholders and facilitate risk based decisions if required. Prioritize the requests and assign appropriate resources, assuring a healthy balance of job exposure and stakeholder satisfaction.
  15. Lead advanced process control (APC) and base layer control services for Oman LNG complex, aiming at optimizing and automating the complex operations.
  16. Lead process technological HSE services. Develop high level long term planning and establish the need and requirement of safety reviews in line with company’s HSE framework, Terms of Reference, priority setting and resourcing plan.
  17. Research new and emerging technologies and drive case for change that will improve train/complex reliability, efficiency, production, and environmental performance.
  18. Take ownership & responsibility in ensuring logging of process safety assessment exercises (PSA) resultant actions, appropriate closure within own-set targets and reporting to complex management.
  19. Coach and develop process technology staff to ensure the minimum competency levels are met or exceeded by a yearly review of their training needs, on the job exposure, cross postings, preparation of a personal development plan and regular feedback sessions including mid-year and final year appraisal.

Requirements

  1. B.Sc. in engineering in relevant streams like Chemical, Process engineering or Physics.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas, chemical or related industry.
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in LNG technical engineering field required.
