1) Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
2) Managing staff and ensuring staff utilization, including prioritizing tasks for projects, establishing budgets, and assisgning staff to meet client deadlines.
3) Effectively plan, supervise, and execute Bookkeeping, Accounting and other engagements in accordance with all relevant professional standards (accounting, quality control, and ethical) and company policies.
4) Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
5) Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
6) Apply appropriate business knowledge in anticipating, identifying and addressing issues relevant to the clients business.
7) Serve as the primary escalation point for clients.
8) Providing project management, technical skills, and leadership to team members for projects and engagements.
9) Coordinate and complete audits.
10) Obtain sufficient and appropriate audit evidence from clients, addressing the relevant audit objectives.
11) Identifying audit differences, issues and escalating as appropriate.
12) Managing onboarding of new clients.
13) Delivering exceptional client service and experience to clients.
14) Develop skills, capabilities and potential of staff through supervision, mentoring, internal training delivery and assignment of challenging work opportunities.
