BARKA: The Royal Horse Racing Club organised the fifth horse race (the 51st National Day race), under the auspices of HH Sayyid Fatik bin Fahar al Said in the presence of a number of their Highnesses and horse racing fans from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.
Horse Adeem ridden by Jockey Ibrahim bin Khamis al Hinai and owned by Majid al Maamari won the first place in the first round (Bait Al Baranda 1,200-metre race).
Horse Dafij ridden by Jockey Munis bin Salim al Siyabi and owned by Abdullah bin Ali al Maamari, won the first place in the second round 1,200 race.
Horse Mamdouh owned by Anwar bin Salim al Mahri, won the first place in the 1,800 metre race for purebread Arabian horses.
Horse Wasif ridden by jockey Adam bin Talib al Balushi and owned by Ali bin Amer al Fazari, won the first place in the 1,600 metre fourth race for purebread Arabian horses.
