MUSCAT: The Environment Authority and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) held their annual joint meeting in the presence of Dr Abdullah al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority and Steve Phimister, Managing Director of PDO, on Wednesday.
The meeting comes within the framework of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the Environment Authority and PDO and related to continued development, exchange of expertise and the participation in the environmental projects, among other fields.
The meeting reviewed what has been achieved in 2021 and 2020 between the Environment Authority and PDO. A joint work team from the two entities presented the plan for the next year.
The meeting also discussed the environmental labs with regard to nauseating smell at the Port of Mina al Fahal.
The chairman of the Environment Authority and the managing director of PDO held a discussion session that dealt with the activation of the MoU signed between the two parties to encompass other fields of benefit to both entities.
