The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a project from start to finish. This candidate will be able to create a plan of action that will consider a fixed timeline and evaluate risks. This individual should also have experience managing people and be an effective communicator.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the main IT project management representative on a day to day basis.
• Coordinate with the project team members and develop schedules and individual responsibilities.
• Coordinate with 3rd party technology vendors located in Oman and Internationally.
• Set the scope for each phase of the project, in conjunction with the project stakeholders.
• Maintain project timeframes, ensure costs remain within budget and that the quality of the platform meets the expectations of the stakeholders.
• Utilize IT project management methodologies and best practices that will deliver the project on schedule and within budget.
• Use project management tools to track and report project performance and schedule adherence.
• Provide technical advice to the team in relation to project tasks and issues.
• Conducting risk assessments for the project.
• Escalate issues to the Director and Project Steering Committee as required.
• Organize meetings to discuss project tasks, risks, issues and overall progress. Prepare the agenda, coordinate presentation materials and prepare meeting minutes.
• Provide regular reports and status updates to the Management.
Skills and Experience Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 5 years’ experience with similar project management services
• Project management accreditation such as PMP or Prince2 is required.
• Experience with software development, web development and systems integration projects is preferred.
• Experience in the travel and transport industry is preferred.
• Agile software development accreditation such as PMI-ACP is preferred.
• The IT Project Management services shall be conducted in the English language. Arabic languages are preferred but not required.
