CPA studies proposal for organisational restructure and digital transformation

Muscat: The board of directors of the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) on Tuesday reviewed a proposal to amend its organisational structure and the authority’s digital transformation initiative to align with Oman Vision 2040.

The initiative, scheduled to be implemented during the current Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), comprises a system to modernise correspondences and endorse partner firms.

The board, headed by Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Chairman of the CPA, also studied efforts made by its personnel in all governorates of Oman to promote consumer interests.

The members of the board laid emphasis on the need to establish a consumer-friendly market by utilising all measures to achieve this goal. The board also looked into other topics of the agenda.
