Contract Term : 3 years contractJOB PURPOSE:Ensure, manage and maintain all financial transactions areexecuted in compliance with applicable international standards, laws and regulationsto ensure the provision of effective financial and accounting servicessubmitted to management on timely basis with proper book-keeping.Maintainfinancial records with proper audit trail in accordance with the provision ofaccounting standards, applicable laws and regulations, Company policies andprocedures and International Accounting StandardsResponsible for arranging, coordinating and closing the fundingrequirements for the company growth projects. Devising optimal capitalstructures and strategies for sourcing, evaluating, proposing best option outof various M&As transactions. Lead equity and debt arrangements coordinatewith financial, technical, marketing and legal advisors ensuring delivery offinancing programmers within time and budget with track of financial closing.Expert in building, operating, and interpreting financial models in support ofCompany’s development activities, locally, regionally and globally. The rolealso requires working closely with senior executives and shareholders onvarious investment opportunities. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIESFinancialController:§ Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financialstatements (profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows/working capital andresource consumption and capital expenditures) to be presented to therespective stakeholders within and outside the organization for projects,companies associated with as per direction.§ To prepare and maintain all financial statements and books ofaccounts for meeting the financial reporting requirements at senior managementand Board level.§ Ensure timely and accurate management reporting on key project andoperating drivers along with variance analysis against set targets.§ Assist superior in implementing various financial internalcontrols and risk management systems, frameworks and policies and procedures§ Prepare IFRS memorandums related to financial instruments anddocument the accounting process accordingly;§ Ensure finance related SOPs and practices are applied as well asthe compliance with IFRS standards;§ Prepare Risk Mitigation proposals, including but not limited to;hedge accounting and efficiency testing per international standardrequirements;§ Control and stimulate the mark-to-market valuations on differentderivative transactions and assess the impact in the books, with deep analysison the best suitable option/alternative recommendation to head of Finance.;§ Manage fund arrangements, draw-down requests, cash flow planningprocess and ensure funds availability with proper liquidity level maintained.§ Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for investmentfund development, pricing decisions with products designated for sale, andcontract negotiations§ Manage the processing of all project related invoices, contractorsand employee-related payments upon receiving written approval and relatedsupporting documentation from the respective departments within the Project/sand Company in line with Manual of Authority.§ Manage reconciliation on all pre-payments and expenses against theapproved budgets and highlight significant deviations for corrective action orwrite-off.§ Carry out the reconciliation of all bank accounts in order toensure that all banking transactions are accurate.§ Review monthly payroll and prepare reconciliation to analyze thevariation in payroll with previous month.§ Coordinate and act as focal point on various activities withcounterparties; lenders, banks, creditors, debtors, auditors, tax authoritiesand other concerned parties as and when necessary.§ Review ledger balances and non-routine accounting entries prior tomonth end closing.§ Manage Company debt management custodian to attend all Loanfacility requirements and efficiently consolidate on positions under the book.§ Manage the review of various types of reconciliation statements ofaccounts on monthly basis to properly keeping the book in order and ensure allstatements are aligned.§ Manage, maintain and update various financial registers; includingfixed asset register on monthly basis such as reconciliation. Additions,deletion, disposal and carry any adjustments required.§ Act as the focal point with regarding projects and assetcapitalization with both plant and project teams.§ Review collection reports to determine the status of collectionsand the amounts of outstanding balances.§ Perform SAP – Financial Module Custodian role and other MIS onAccounting IT related functions.§ Establishes and maintains financial records systemsin accordance with generally accepted auditing standards andaccounting principles.§ Develop a good understanding of Omani tax regulations and performtax management functions as related to the project. Review provisional andannual return of income tax before submission to the tax department.§ Monitor at regular intervals liquidity.§ Compare actual of current year month vs. previous year month andcurrent month budget and analyze the reason for variation.§ Delivery of proper mentorship to associated fellows with properknowledge transferred on job.Project Financing Specialist:§ Responsible for the capital structuring, Fund arranging, andleading financing arrangements for the company for various Projects and M&ATransactions.§ Build, own, and operate high quality financial models for theprojects.§ Produce analysis from those models to optimize returns, supportdecision making in the development team, and facilitate financing.§ Build relationships with debt financiers and implement debtprocurement processes as projects reach maturity.§ Support developers and the Company executive in assessing offtake,financing, and structuring opportunities.§ Pro-actively seek improvements in Company’s project financing andstructuring.§ Manage all project accounting, audit, budgetary controls,procurement, monitoring of project and financial performance/progress reportsand disbursement of funds.§ Participate in relevant project meetings to ensure financialcontrol of the projects§ Coordinate the implementation of financial project controls,project system in SAP, and procedures based on contract requirements§ Process and procedures to collect cost, and procurements fromproject sites for cost tracking. Review these against actual vendor invoicesand advise of any required changes etc.§ Review all costs charged to Projects in SAP on daily basis and liaisewith Project Manager to ensure costs have been correctly recorded andallocated.§ Responsible for review and accuracy for third party invoicesproperly supported, charges are correct, and invoiced to theclient/sub-contractors if necessary.§ Assesses the impact of scope of work changes and scheduleslippages.§ Present monthly/quarterly overview of project financial status toLeadership teams.§ Responsible for Cost Centre and WBS stewardship, monitoringproject budgets and all project related expenses.§ Develops strong working relationships with all members of projectteam and leads the team in financial discussions.§ Assist project manager/s in project closure and prepare financialdocuments for after action reviews. Develop actions to correct un-favorablevariances, mitigate risks, and improve profitability and cash flow§ Manages, develops, and leads Project Finance staff and other underdevelopment as assigned.§ Expert in SAP S/4HANA Project Module with custodian role.
