Environmental Consultant
Basic Qualifications and Responsibilities
Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental management, or related fields;
4‐10 years of relevant experience in leading international environmental consulting firms;
Functional experience in areas such as environmental and social impact assessments, strategic assessments, due diligence, audit and monitoring, compliance reporting, GIS, hydrogeology and flood risk assessments;
Strong technical skills and understanding of oil and gas downstream and upstream project EIA and SEIA compliant to World Bank and IFC guidelines
Proficiency in English as a first language with excellent written and verbal communication skills; Business skills in the areas of project budget allocation, resource management, operations, and
program management;
Sound knowledge and experience of environmental regulatory mechanisms and legislation;
Willingness to tackle new areas of work beyond core skill and enthusiasm for completing a job; Strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and people skills;
Ability to be a self‐starter and thrive in a fast‐paced environment;
Ability to simplify complex ideas for non‐technical experts to comprehend;
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team to produce deliverables of consistently high quality, technical integrity and professional presentation;
Self‐manage assigned tasks to support work‐streams and delegate project assignments where appropriate;
Develop and expand client relationships to maintain existing, and generate repeat business; Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development activities; and Work with others across the business group to develop cross selling opportunities
