Muscat: Oman’s Dr. Shihab Aldin Ahmed al Riyami participated in the International Conference on Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology which concluded recently in Istanbul, Turkey.
The International Conference aimed to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology.
FIVB international coach instructor affirmed essentially of the conference and its main recommendations.
“The key outcomes of the international conference covered many areas including daily activity and training at least 30 minutes will be so far so good for enhancing cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Also, studying the differences between sports play positions in team and individual sports in all aspects as per physiological demands, technical, tactical and psychological,” he said.
The other recommendations raised from the conference highlighted on the importance of understanding the heart disease and trying to find the main reasons for athletes. The Youth Olympic Games are an excellent opportunity to promote Sport for All, athlete’s performance and media roles in improving the athlete profiles in games.
There is an increasing need for qualified international physiological studies and researches and development of sports training in all programs, resulting in a demand for special education schemes for coaches and trainers.
The importance of ECK and ECHO medical examination for identifying any historical or family genetic issues in cardiac functioning and stratucal.
Using successive procedures proportional to the ideal shown by the teaching pyramid, when teaching most of the skills of individual games, including swimming, because of the consideration of individual differences for students.
Focusing on the element of fun during the whole stages of learning and linking educational fun games with the skills targeted by the process of teaching.
Providing the element of learning-related to the challenge, in consideration using the self-challenge, not challenging others.
In future, conducting a lot of similar studies in this physiology field on athlete’s samples of different age.
