Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) announced the re-calculation of the tourism tax at four percent, starting from January 1, 2022.
MHT had earlier exempted all tourist facilities from tax until December 2021, according to the economic stimulus plan approved by the Supreme Committee on Covid-19.
