Muscat: The latest weather update by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), states that a low-pressure trough will affect weather patterns over parts of the Sultanate of Oman from Friday evening.
CAA said in a statement: “Latest analysis shows cloud advection over Governorates of Musandam and North Al Batinah and Al Buraimi starting from today evening continuing for coming few days. The weather will be cloudy over the governorates of Musandam and top parts of North Al – Batinah with chances of rain (20-50 mm) occasional thundershowers , fresh winds, flash floods in wadis. Rough sea condition along the coastal areas of Musandam Governorate and Oman Sea coasts with maximum wave height of 3 metres.”
The Civil Aviation Authority advises all to take precautions during rain and wadis and to check the sea state before sailing.
