Muscat: The Football Association’s Competitions Committee postponed the Saham-Rustaq match in the Omantel League due to a positive case of Covid-19 detected in a member of the technical staff of Saham Club.
A statement said, “The Competitions Committee of the Oman Football Association decided to postpone the date of the match between Saham Club and Al-Rustaq Club in the eleventh round of the Omantel League, which was scheduled to take place this afternoon at five, after the results of the PCR examination that was conducted on a member of the technical staff of Saham Club returned positive.”
They added: “For the safety of everyone, it was decided to postpone the match, in order to avoid an increase in infected cases, due to the contact of the injured individual with the players in his team and the technical staff.”
