IKEA Store Assignment
Coordinate and liaise with the Marketing team in Service Office for supporting national marketing initiatives (e.g.: catalogue & catalogue distribution, promotions on local web pages, soft toy campaign and other offline initiatives) for driving traffic and supporting the Vitality calendar.
Optimize sales by executing any local marketing initiatives to drive traffic
Support, create and contribute the vitality calendar by coordinating with the Marketing team – SO to execute details of national marketing initiatives
Partner with other store management team and organize general meetings, activities linked to the launch of business plans, seasonal parties and other events.
Obtain relevant product and service information from the various departments and communicate it to the store’s co-workers, allowing them to communicate to our customers in an accurate and timely manner
Develop, identify, utilize and update communication channels for delivering key messages (i.e. Intranet, monthly store newsletter, etc.).
Manage local CSR initiatives and support the development and implementation of local sustainability and corporate social responsibility plans and activities for your store and within your local community.
Act as the local market ‘specialist’ understanding customers by utilising key data sources, including Brand Capital, ICSS, and IKEA FAMILY, sharing this information to assist with store decision making and recommendations
Coordinate with the Research function in SO as well as managing any local driven research.
Prepare post-campaign reports for local market campaigns, drawing conclusions and providing future recommendations.
Undertake any additional activities as directed by the Local Store Manager
Responsible to perform Duty Manager tasks on weekends as per the schedule provided (morning or evening).
Able to work on weekends.
Responsible of the IKEA FAMILY program as a marketing activity as well as a commercial activity.
Work closely with other store functions (e.g.: commercial team) to ensure we communicate the IKEA FAMILY strategy, concept and benefits and that all IKEA FAMILY offers are available and visible throughout the store, presented & communicated in the best possible way:

Always look at the store through the eyes of our customers finding ways to drive membership recruitment and inspire our co-workers to do the same.

Commercial
Lead and manage the team and work with colleagues in other functions to optimise the relationship with our customers in order to drive sales growth and sustained, long-term profitability.
Drive and be the owner of the Commercial review in the store, co-operating and influencing the commercial team, the CR team and other support functions to ensure that they understand the customer’s perspective when implementing new solution and evaluating exiting ones.
Know the local market and working with the commercial team to support commercial activities, this will convert more visitors to customers, and generate repeat store visits, balancing our business needs with our customers’ needs.
Have in place service agreements with external providers, ensuring these are clearly communicated and priced in store, which support sales. Ensure they deliver a standard of service that contributes to making the IKEA store first choice for home furnishings.
Work with the check-out and exchange and returns manager and store team to ensure the check-outs are appropriately staffed at all times of the day in order to make it easy and convenient for us to close sales.
Analyse customer feedback to identify root causes, taking action to improve short and long-term customer satisfaction.
Encourage the team to take fast action on ideas to improve our customers’ shopping experience, acting on customer feedback, competition and performance analysis.
Educate the team in the IKEA Concept, and ensuring that they read and use the appropriate manuals from Inter IKEA Systems B.V. and other global solutions to help them maximise our customers’ shopping experience.
Ensure the managers in the CRM department agree clear expectations and standards with their teams regarding routines and that they regularly follow up on these.
Ensure quality standards are met in store by focusing on the detail in order that the store is clean and tidy at all times of the trading day.

Commercial
To support the store with expertise to secure that the commercial level regarding range presentation and visual merchandising is optimised and that there is a common thread throughout the store
Com & In Manager is responsible to secure that time plans and budgets set by the Store Manager are followed for all work related to changing and updating all areas of the IKEA store in sync with the Commercial Calendar
Developing and implementing the annual business plan with the store management team in regards to your own department and areas of responsibility
You and your department are also responsible for the planning, execution and follow-up of the stores’ commercial calendars
You work with the Country Comm. In Manager to plan and organise marketing activities related to the commercial calendar.

To ensure that the store is safe for visitors and customers at all times;- before and after trade, day and night time
To train and audit the store teams on the evacuation processes, codes and other emergency information. To plan and take corrective action based on the findings
To schedule and action yearly plans for evacuations, generator tests and power failure simulations;- To implement processes and actions to ensure store safety
To review and change current processes where needed to enhance store safety: checklists, etc
To visit the store during the nightshift operation and carry out the same action and audits as in the day. Ensure store safety at night
Involvement in crisis management routines and manual documentation
To ensure all external suppliers working in IKEA are aware of Evacuation procedures and H&S requirements whilst working in our stores
Ensure sufficient fire marshals/first aiders are on duty at all times and that there is a calendar for regular refresher training
