Muscat: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has said the work on some of the integrated service stations on the Al Batinah Expressway will be completed this year as per the schedule.
Four sites were identified in North al Batinah Governorate, spread over areas ranging from 15,000 to 30,000 sqm – in Suwaiq, Saham, and Liwa.
The ministry said it periodically follows up the implementation of integrated service stations (fuel stations) on highways, given the importance of these projects to the strategic infrastructure plans of the Sultanate.
The integrated stations will include a fuel filling station, an air-conditioned main building for restaurants, shops, hotel restrooms, a park, prayer rooms for men and women, ATM machines, vehicle maintenance and service center, separate parking for buses and trucks, public parking and basic services for road users.
