MUSCAT: Majlis Ash’shura took part in the 11th conference of the Association of Senates, Shura and Equivalent Councils in Africa and Arab World, which was held in Morocco’s capital, Rabat.
The delegation was headed by Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura.
Among the topics discussed at the conference were Afro-Arab cooperation as a pillar of urban and development rehabilitation in light of the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the role of youth and women in development policies and sustainable investments.
Al Maawali met with Rachid Talbi El Alami, Speaker of the House of Representatives in Morocco. They stressed the importance of enhancing communications between the two councils. — ONA
