Muscat: SalamAir has announced daily scheduled flights to four destinations in India from the first week of April.
Of these, the airline will operate Lucknow, Jaipur, and Trivandrum flights from Muscat, while the Kozhikode flight will be from Salalah.
Lucknow flight will be daily, while Jaipur flight will not operate on Sundays. Trivandrum will not operate on Monday.
The Salalah-Kozhikode flight will operate on Friday and Sunday.
Recently, SalamAir decided to augment its codeshare agreement signed in 2020 with Oman Air on specific routes to facilitate smooth passengers movement to the Sultanate.
Capt. Mohamed Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of SalamAir, said, “We have been working closely with Oman Air to see this project come into fruition. Our business model continues to be focused on expanding our network while allowing our passengers to enjoy reliability, convenience, and a vast choice in travel while maintaining low fares.
India on Sunday has resumed international flight operation after almost two years.
In July 2020, overseas flights became operational under bilateral air bubble arrangements with various countries.

- In the latest guidelines, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) said that the restriction of keeping three seats vacant on international flights for handling medical emergencies related to COVID-19 stands removed.
- However, the ministry added that the airlines can carry a few additional PPE protective gears, sanitizer, and N-95 masks, to handle any respiratory infections related to cases on air, for passengers as well as the crew.
