With the holy month of Ramadhan around the corner, hotels and retail outlets are lining up offers and services to woo guests not only with food for Iftar and Suhoor, but also with ambience during all 30 days.
They are ready to take the guests over a delightful culinary journey incorporating various dishes depending on their choice.
Apart from food, some outlets are offering an exclusive package of health club membership.
Speaking to the Observer, many hotel representatives said they started preparing for the holy month two months before. They were on a ‘wait and watch’ mode to see what their counterparts in other countries were doing.
Sheraton Oman Hotel is inviting guests to experience delicious dishes, traditional beverages, inspiring surroundings and enthralling music to welcome Ramadhan. The Hotel has planned culinary offerings that include Iftar, Suhoor, and traditional live music and activities amidst a special ambience.
“We are looking forward to welcoming our guests and offering them an unforgettable experience with a collection of unique culinary options. Guests can enjoy authentic ‘oud’ melodies throughout the holy month in a perfect backdrop, said Samir Messaoudi, General Manager.
Cliff Deck Café is a new addition that caters outside the hotel. Located in Muscat Bay and managed by Sheraton Oman Hotel, the café offers a trendy dining experience that blurs the boundaries of indoor and outdoor eatery options.
“There is no better way to enliven the dining experience than with a little fresh air and great views. The café boasts breath-taking bird’s eye views of Muscat Bay skyline, promising an inimitable al fresco dining experience,” he added.
Representatives of Kempinski Hotel Muscat said the property would be presenting celebrity master chef Joe Barza during Ramadhan this year. Known for his on-air appearances in several popular cooking shows such as ‘Top Chef and Chopped’, Chef Joe returns to Kempinski again to celebrate the holy month. He will be featured at ‘The Kitchen’ restaurant and Zale Arabesque Lounge with his expertise in Levantine cuisine.
‘The Kitchen’ will feature a unique Iftar buffet every day with live cooking stations and culinary wonders, while Zale will be transformed into an Arabesque Lounge, the perfect backdrop to spend Layali Ramadhan every night from sunset onwards. Chef Joe will present his signature creations, influenced by homemade Lebanese dishes and delectable specialties in an exclusive a la carte menu.
Bukhara restaurant will offer a three-course Indian Iftar, including a selection of North Indian dishes prepared by Chef Ashish Tiwari; the opulent Amwaj Lounge will feature ‘a la carte’ menu every night.
