Muscat: Internal roads are to be constructed in Bausher as part of upgrades to the existing infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing population in the area.
The roads are being built in line with the planned urban expansion in a busy commercial area in Bausher, according to the Directorate General of Projects at Muscat Municipality.
“The project will feature construction of 12km of internal roads, parking lots and building-side protection to some roads, where needed, while transferring current service lines that overlap existing tracks,” said Muscat Municipality in a statement.
“The project will significantly help reduce traffic congestion in the area and will offer more safety to users. It is hoped that the project will be completed early next year.”
