Muscat: The Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs represented by the Permanent Hajj Committee met on Wednesday to review the agreement on arrangements and plans for Hajj with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the year 1443 AH.
The meeting was presided over by Dr Mohammad bin Said al Maamari, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
The Hajj Committee discussed preparations for the Hajj season in terms of the readiness of the electronic system for the pilgrims of the Sultanate of Oman, and the time line for starting Hajj arrangements.
The Sultanate of Oman’s share this year is 6,338 pilgrims, reducing the number by 45% due to the repercussions of the Covid-19 epidemic.
