Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested a smuggler for smuggling narcotic substances and for entering the Sultanate of Oman illegally.
ROP said in a statement: “The Coast Guard Police, in cooperation with the Department for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substance , led by the South Al Batinah Governorate Police, arrested an Asian infiltrator on charges of participating with an international gang to smuggle narcotics substances and entering the country illegally. 59 large rolls of crystal drug were seized on board the smuggling boat. The legal procedures are being completed against him.
