Muscat: India’s multinational information technology services and consulting company, Tech Mahindra, has opened its headquarters in the Sultanate of Oman.
Making an announcement on the matter, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) has a market capitalization of around $14 billion and specializes in the latest technologies such as blockchain, cloud computing, cyber security, and artificial intelligence among others.
The company employs more than 151,100 employees in 90 countries and is expected to give opportunities for its Omani employees to work in its global offices.
It will employ 50 Omanis inside the Sultanate in the first months and train 200 jobseekers in various technical fields over the next two years as it seeks to offer its services and operations in the Sultanate of Oman.
