Muscat: The Oman women’s futsal team won the second victory over the Italian club Sinaclardino 5-4 in the second friendly match. Oman had thumped Italian club Genoa 7-2 last week.
The Oman team’s camp in Italy will continue until June 11, with four training sessions at the Genoa club, under the coach Maha Jund and her assistants Azhar bint Jasim al Bahraniyah and Reham bint Hamdan al Shezawiyah.
The Oman women played a strong match against the Sinclaardino club, who won the second place in the Italian Women’s Futsal Championship.
The goals came through Tharaa bint Ali al Ismailiyah, who scored two goals, while Leqaa bint Abdullah al Hosniyah, Hiba bint Hamoud al Asimiyah and Linat bint Yousef al Maslamiyah netted one goal each.
The team will play the third match with the Italian club Genoa FC17, in preparation for the third West Asian Championship to be held in Saudi Arabia. This will be the first participation of the Omani team in the tournaments.
The Oman women’s futsal team had received financial support from Al Mouj Muscat, to enhance the success of this camp, in continuation of its efforts within the framework of social responsibility and the development of youth through sports.
