Muscat: The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has extinguished a fire that broke out in a number of palm trees and agricultural waste in the Wilayat of Bahla, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
CDAA said in a statement: “The firefighting teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate dealt with a fire that broke out in a number of palm trees and agricultural waste in Al Jilah area located in the Wilayat of Bahla. The teams were able to control the fire, without recording any injuries.”
The authority calls on farmers to dispose of agricultural waste in safe ways and not accumulate it in order to avoid risk of such incidents.
