Oman’s Dr Shihab bin Aldin bin Ahmed al Riyami delivered FIVB Coaches course level 1 which was held in Kuwait since June 5 and concluded on Thursday. As many as 29 participants took part at the international course including learners from Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq. The course took place at the Leaders Training Centre in Saad Sobah Sports Complex in Kuwait.
Dr Shihab, FIVB International volleyball coach instructor since nine years, said that the coaching course level 1 featured different parts of fundamental and core subjects in volleyball. “Thanks for FIVB especially Technical and Development committee and Kuwait Volleyball Federation for this opportunity to deliver this international course. Kuwait Volleyball Federation is looking to increase the number of National qualified coaches & building up coaches knowledge through FIVB Coaches Courses and FIVB Development programme . “This course contributed a lot of updating knowledge for coaches and improving their coaching skills. Definitely this kind of courses will help in improving coaches’ understanding of the sport while building on the fundamentals of volleyball in Gulf countries and Asian countries as well”, he added
Course Director Dr. shihab Ahmed delivered a theoretical and practical sessions during the four days of the course. “ This course included different practical sessions which presented many modern training methods of skills fundamental and core subjects in volleyball, coaching skills, physical conditioning, the advanced tactical plan of volleyball and updates on training information. Moreover, course lessons highlighted on the updating knowledge and theory of training principles which upgrade coaches knowledge in coaching field. A special thanks for FIVB especially Technical and Development committee & Kuwait Federation in conducting Coaches Course physically and virtually,” he ended
Bader Al-Koos, Chairmen of Technical and development committee at Kuwait Volleyball Federation and Member of AVC Coaches Committee, said. “ Thanks to FIVB Development department for great cooperation in conducting coaches course and highly appreciated to FIVB efforts in developing coaches knowledge via Development department program,” he said.
