Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Thursday issued 12 Royal decrees restructuring the Council of Ministers and appointing some new positions.
Royal Decree re-forming the Council of Ministers:
– Dr Mohammad bin Saeed bin Khalfan Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
– Dr. Hilal Al Sabti as Minister of Health.
-Engineer Salim Al Awfi as Minister of Energy and Minerals
His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has issued more new royal decrees, which are as follows:
- Royal Decree regulating the administration of judicial affairs.
- Royal Decree issuing the governorates’ system
- Royal Decree defining the functions of the Ministry of Interior and approving its organisational structure.
- Royal Decree transferring the jurisdiction of inventory and valuation of property from the Ministry of Interior to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.
- Royal Decree appointing Sayyid Muhammad bin Sultan bin Hamoud Al Busaidi as Vice President of the Supreme Judicial Council, with the same rank and financial allocations.
- Royal decree appointing governors.
- Royal Decree amending some provisions of the Municipal Councils Law.
- Royal Decree appointing Sheikh Ghsn bin Hilal bin Khalifa Al Alwi as Head of the State’s Financial and Administrative Audit Institution (SAI) at the rank of Minister.
- Royal Decree appointing Issa bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Azri Secretary-General of the Supreme Judicial Council.
- Royal Decree transferring Talal bin Sulaiman Al Rahbi to the Ministry of Foreign with the same rank and financial allocations.
