Muscat: Thunderstorms have been forecast over some governorates of the Sultanate of Oman on Monday.
Oman Meteorology said in a statement: “There is thunderstorm related activity over the Wilayats of Al-Khaboura in North Al Batinah Governorate, Yanqul in Al Dhahirah Governorate and Suniynah in Al Buraimi Governorate with chances of thunderstorms. Cumulative clouds activity on the Al Hajar Mountains and the adjacent areas may extend to the coasts of the Sea of Oman, with chances of rainfall of varying intensity on parts of the governorates of South Al Batinah (Rustaq and Suwaiq) and Al Dhahirah (Ibri). ”
