Close to 36,000 successful candidates applied through the website of the Higher Education Admission Centre of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
Muscat: The Higher Education Admission Centre (HEAC) at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, will begin to conduct admission tests and interviews from Monday, 23 August to 29 August 2021 for students who completed general education diploma or equivalent and received their certificates/diplomas this year as per the scheduled programmes.
In a statement issued recently, the HEAC said that the students can view (via its website) the venues, and dates and contact numbers accorded to each programme.
The names of students selected for the tests/interviews will be available under “registration” page at HEAC website from Sunday, 22 August 2021.
HEAC advises those unable to attend the interviews/tests due to health reasons (like contracting Covid-19 infection or mixing with Covid-19 patients or any other health reasons) to directly contact the establishments concerned and discuss alternative dates.
The dates set for tests and interviews have been fixed after the end of the “Period of Amendment/Change of Choices” by 17 August via HEAC website.
The number of successful candidates who applied via the HEAC website stood at 35,753 students.
The Higher Education Admission Centre reminds all that the first results of sorting will be available from Sunday 5 September 2021.
