MUSCAT: Muscat CT recorded a massive 336-run victory against Ibn Abdul Samad Eng and Cons (IAS) while Oman Stallions thrashed Arabian Region Travel and Tourism (ARTT) by 159 runs in two one-sided Premier Division League games played at Oman Cricket grounds in Al Amerat on Friday.
Openers Kashyapkumar Prajapati (162 off 93) and Jatinder Singh (111 off 98) were involved in a 216-run partnership before top all-rounders Ayaan Khan (98 off 63) and Sandeep Goud (98 not out off 39) added 166 runs for the fourth wicket as Muscat posted a massive 488 for 4 on the board in 50 overs. A total of 23 sixes were hit — 10 by Sandeep while 6 each by Kashyap and Ayaan.
IAS failed to make a match of it, folding up for a disappointing 152 in the 37 th over.
Sudeep Chavan topscored with 37 as leggie Samay Shrivastava picked up 4 for 49 while Ayaan and Munis Ansari claimed three wickets each.

Struggling at 72 for 5 and 117 for 7, Oman Stallions was rescued by a belligerent Rafiullah who came in at No.9 and smashed 71 off only 27 deliveries to take his team’s total to 218 all out in the 44 th over. He struck 8 sixes in his whirlwind knock. Karan Sonavala contributed 36 off 35. Aqil Khan bowled well, taking 4 for 29 while Malik Ali and Sanjaya Raj bagged two wickets each.
ARTT’s hopes of a good start were dashed in the beginning as they ran into red hot Bilal Khan and Shakeel Ahmed whose 4 for 12 and 3 for 13 respectively led to its dismissal for a disastrous 59 all out. Mohammed Ali Akbar bowled well too, taking 2 for 7.
