Muscat: Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) on Sunday signed a funding agreement with Oman Liquefied Natural Gas (Oman LNG) Development Foundation to finance a programme for training medical cadres in Sur Referral Hospital and to facilitate the hospital’s application to become a training centre.
The agreement also stipulates that OMBS, represented by the Medical Simulation and Innovation Centre, will conduct specialised training courses of specified durations for candidates nominated by the hospital.
The training of medical cadres in Sur Referral Hospital will be via video-conferencing through ‘Tibyan’ platform set by the Medical Simulation and Innovation Centre. More training courses will be offered in-person in the centre in order to develop skills and conducts of the trainees.
The agreement was signed by Dr Hilal Ali Al Sabti, CEO of OMSB and Dr Amir Nasser Al Matani, CEO of Oman LNG Development Foundation.
