Muscat: Oman Meteorology has warned of thunderstorms in places such as Adam, Ibra, Fahud, Bahla, Mudhebi, Rustaq, Ibri, Saiq, Sunaynah, Samail, Nizwa, Al Hamra (thunderstorm), Izki Jabal Shams, Salalah Port, Salalah, Buraimi and Yanqual.
“Chances of convective clouds formation and thundershowers associated with fresh downdraft winds and hail over Al Hajar Mountains towards the afternoon. Possibility of late night to early morning low-level clouds or fog patches along with the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea and Oman Sea. Chance of dust rising due to fresh wind over the desert and open areas,” Oman Meteorology said.
Sea will be rough along Arabian Sea coasts with a maximum wave height of 3 m and slight to moderate along the rest of the coasts with a maximum wave height of 1.5 meters.
Oman Met was warned of poor horizontal visibility during thundershowers, dust rising, and fog formation.
