Al Mazouna: Construction is in full swing at the Wilayat of Al Mazyona’s hospital in the Governorate of Dhofar. The facility, being set up on an area of 90,000 sqm (building area 15,276 sqm), costs RO 15,359,970.
Eng Jamal Salim al Shanfari, Director General of Projects and Engineering Affairs at the Ministry of Health, told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the hospital comprises general clinics, internal medical clinics, as well as dental, paediatric, surgery, ENT, ophthalmology and obstetric clinics. In addition, the hospital conducts an ‘expanded immunization programme’.
Al Mazyona Hospital has 50 beds and wards for men, women, children and maternity, besides emergency, dialysis, X-ray and laboratory sections. Auxiliary units at the hospital include a biomedical engineering workshop, a sterilization unit, a medical warehouse and a general store.
