Muscat: Dar Al Atta’a Association has fully equipped 10 classrooms of some schools in the wilayats of Saham, Liwa, Al Buriami, Yanqul and Ibri at a cost of OMR 22,157.
This is within the preparations for the new school year 2021-2022 and the annual efforts of the association to provide supplies to classrooms at some schools which require such support.
The furniture and equipment supplied included 138 chairs, 36 tables, 44 cabinets, 17 partitions, 12 computers, 11 pieces of carpet, 10 printers, and 21 curtains.
Siham bint Yousef Al Kharousi, Director of Empowerment Division of Dar Al Atta’a Association expressed her thanks to Mitsui Company for their contribution to the campaign to support school students and to all who have cooperated for the efforts of School Students Welfare Programme of the Association.
She said that Dar Al Atta’a provides the classrooms at the beginning of every school year with necessary supplies. This included the pre-school classrooms at the government schools in addition to medical and audio-visual supplies.
She said, “The programme for the welfare of school students is one of the first programmes adopted by Dar Al Atta’a in 2006.”
Dar Al Atta’a has provided supplies to over 80 classrooms for pre-school children for a better educational environment. The association coordinates with the directorates of education in various governorates for listing the schools entitled to support and is keen to qualify teachers of nursery schools by organising specialised training courses and sessions in the field.
